As a key member of the Verizon brand governance team during my time as a Senior Visual Designer at R/GA, I served as a brand expert—deeply familiar with Verizon’s evolving identity standards and trusted to ensure their consistent application across all creative channels. These standards were critical to maintaining a clear, cohesive brand presence and reinforcing Verizon’s position as a premium, recognizable brand.
In this role, I worked closely with both the client and internal teams, building strong relationships grounded in trust and a shared commitment to brand integrity. I acted as a lead reviewer within the Workfront platform, managing incoming creative from external agencies and internal teams. Every asset—whether digital, print, retail, sponsorship, or experiential—was carefully reviewed to ensure alignment with Verizon’s brand voice, visual system, and strategic objectives.
Beyond brand review, I contributed to compliance audits, gathered and analyzed creative samples to spot trends, and helped evolve the brand guidelines to stay relevant as business needs shifted. I also played a key role in educating agency partners and internal teams to support consistent, high-quality execution. Additionally, I was responsible for creating custom icons for the Verizon asset library—taking creative briefs, brainstorming concepts, and designing iconography that adhered to Verizon’s detailed brand guidelines.
